The Historic Douglas Block is located at the north end of the downtown Rocky Mount business district. It lies in close proximity to major cultural and educational facilities, including the Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences, the Veterans' Memorial at Jack Laughery Park, and the Braswell Memorial Library (all one block west) and the Rocky Mount campus of Edgecombe Community College (two blocks south). The site, which actually covers slightly more than two city blocks, is bounded by E Thomas Street, Atlantic Avenue, Goldleaf Street, and NE Main Street (see map at the bottom of this page). The area is easily accessible from all parts of Rocky Mount and its surrounding communities. If you'd like more information, or would like to arrange a tour during your visit, please email rmecdc@embarqmail.com or call 252-343-2940.
